FNP 40

The FNP-40 features double-action/single-action (DA/SA) operation with de-cocking. Its high-capacity polymer frame is offered in matte black. The FNP-40’s barrel is cold hammer-forged stainless steel, and the stainless steel slide is available with a matte silver finish. It is a snap to clean, can easily be de-cocked and carried chambered with much more peace of mind than I ever had with my Glock. I took the 4-day course at Frontsight with it, and for the first few hours, I was having serious doubts. The double action initial shot from concealment was tough to get used to. But since I made the decision to carry it, I felt that I needed to use it in the course. I'm glad I did. Testing at the end of the forth day had me firing 2 shots into the kill zones from concealment in less than 1.5 seconds. I love the gun and Glock fans can slip the square back on the grip for a familiar feel. A smooth, solid pistol, with a 14 round magazine. Super fast to field strip, and .357 Sig barrel can interchange with the .40. Well done, FN. If the safety features on the Glock make you nervous, consider the FN. It is extremely accurate right out of the box and comes with a kydex holster and double mag pouch.
